Missing teenage girl
found killed, hacked
and charred

JOHOR BARU, July 5 — The
charred body parts of a missing
teenage girl were found in
separate locations here Sunday.
Police investigations have shown
the parts were set alight twice,
Sungai Tiram in Ulu Tiram and a
Hindu cemetery in Masai,
according to Bernama Online.
Norrahayu Qomaruddin, 16, was
identified as the victim. Her family
reported her missing on June 18.
It is believed her body was
hacked to several pieces before
been immolated.
A security guard from Ulu Tiram
has been detained to assist
investigations.
The 46-year-old suspect has
eight previous criminal records,
which include abduction,
burglary and causing hurt,
according to Seri Alam police
chief Superintendent Roslan
Zainuddin yesterday.
Police believe the body parts
were desecrated to help the
killed or killers evade capture.
Norrahayu’s clothes, strands of
hair and slippers were found by
thepublic on Sunday.
The collected body parts have
since been sent to Sultan Ismail
Hospital.
